This style has an extra foam insert to prevent the “gape” that forms when a smaller bust wears a padded cup, which allows for a larger top on a smaller bust. Eg, a 32B can now wear a 32D cup giving the illusion of a fuller bust without the empty gap forming at the top of the cup.
